In one week I will be halfway through my treatment, yay! Last night I put in tray #8....I immediately felt the pressure butt this time it was in my lower teeth. Usually I can feel it in my upper but today it's in the lower. I feel it pushing inward. It's not so bad so I expect it to feel normal after today. I can't wait to be done with all of this!!
Trays #4 & #5 were so painful. Extreme pain for both that left me sore for almost a week. I could feel the pressure of them pulling my teeth inward. I guess this is a good thing. Now the one issue I have is that the two front teeth where the gap is closing (I can see it is smaller already), but one of the front teeth is crooked...like it's moving but its slanted slightly. I'm hoping this will be corrected with the other trays but even as I looked at the new tray this morning (#6) I see ...
Not nearly as painful as Tray #2. This one felt tight and there was pressure last night when I put it on. This morning my mouth was sore but now its 10:40am and I feel like I've been wearing them the whole week. Even when I took them out for breakfast it wasn't nearly as painful as taking out tray 2. Yay for less pain. In two weeks I go in for my cleaning and get my next 3 trays.
So this is what it's going to feel like every time I change trays? I don't like it. Last night I put them in, immediately felt the tightness and took some advil before bed. Soft foods planned for today. I'm hoping I can check in here on Friday and see how I feel by then. If it's all better by the weekend then it won't be so bad that I'm changing trays on Tuesdays.
Its my second day with the trays, semi getting used to them. The bottom tray doesn't bother me much at all the top one makes me gag. Sleeping with these on is really an adjustment, I'm a clencher and I can't clench with the trays. I guess its good for me but I miss sound sleep. I'll go back today to get the button that fell off replaced. IT's the tooth that will have the most movement throughout so I'm sure I need to get it replaced ASAP!
Today I picked up the trays and had my buttons put in (12). More than I expected but I was happy with the amount of trays that are anticipated - 19. Hopefully it won't drag on too much more than that. Closing the gap is the biggest factor. Went to my appointment during lunch break so I didn't want to come back to work wearing them and trying to get comfortable...so I'll go home have dinner and start getting used to them. They're supposed to settle in better overnight.
