What a relief, the normal dentist check up went fine, he was very surprised the invisalign had worked so well and thought the results given the fact I’d no refinements were great. He did comment “have you had whitening done?” which I’ve had a little, I only really did it for about a week or so after the attachments came off – maybe it really did make a difference after all 

Things with the new straight teeth have been fine since I finished treatment back In October. It did take several months and attempts to get a retainer I was happy with, I think I picked it up about December, ok I’m not 100% happy with it as it’s not as good as fit as my final tray, the top one isn’t ...

Aww picked up my retainer at the weekend and it didnt fit and no one knows why, it;s tight as tight can be on the study moulds? ....so it's off for new moulds and attempt 2 later this week. I got a trial pack of Polanight whitening gel....anyone tried thiis brand? Did it work? This will do me until maybe I can afford a full session of whitening. keep you posted...... i'm not quite a retainer wearer yet!

I think I'm coming down off my cloud and back to reality. OMG! is pretty much all I can say today.......I just got my attachments off, moulds done for retainers (that I'll pick up tomorrow) and thats me all finished with Invisalign. When I get over the shock of the last hour I'll update this properly with how the appointment went and new photos but it's BRILLIANT to feel smooth teeth again with no attachments, now I'm going to whiten at home, just a little bit but give me a hollywood smile boost! Well its been a month tomorrow since I last had a moan and groan at the orthos office about the gaps that have never closed. I'm really happy with how the front looks so i'm kinda thinking I dont want metal tracks full stop so I'll just live with the gaps that the food gets stuck in all the time, I'm getting used to it and it's not such a bother anymore, I've always got a wee floss stick in my pocket to deal with it. Hi all, Hope you're all having a nice weekend. I still havent decided what to do about refinments for my gaps, but today I'm in a great upbeat mood again and I'm thinking i'll just leave the gaps coz i'm not keen on the tracks idea leading up to Christmas, a while to decide anyway.

Today was my final ortho appointment before getting my braces off. I got a little bit of the dreaded IRP and he’s promised no more.......ever, YES!!!!!!
I’ve a date of 8th October to remove the attachments and take the moulds for the retainers in the morning and I’ll pick up the retainers later in the afternoon. Today is a fabby day!!! Tray 27 went in last night just before bed, this morning when I took it out to brush I can really see the wonky tooth has totally turned in even more since my last blog 25-26 (should of waited till now for the photos). 27 wasnt painful at all, maybe a smidge tight to click in but I kinda like that fine line between pain and pleasure ( the pleasure being the wonky one looking straight)

All going really well, not an awful lot to say to be honest. Its brilliant seeing the front wonky one moving in at last. Still wearing bottom 13 as a retainer - if I leave it out over the 24 hours by accident you can really see the gap open a little again, goes to show how important retainer wear is as thats it now been in use for over 13 weeks. Well folks I'm now on tray 24 of 29 uppers and finished the bottom 11 trays ago and wearing it at night as a retainer for now.
