Hi Everyone.....it's been a while. I'm just back my holidays - which were fab, lots of sunshine & dips in and out the pool & sea, loads of ice creams & scrummy food.....needless to say invisalign was most inconvenient!

I found that the continual swimming and eating and drinking was just too much of a pain with invisalign so I pretty much ditched the trays during the day. I've been wearing top tray 22 for about 3 weeks instead of my prescribed 1 week and the bottom 13 as a retainer only at night, I never found the trays sore to go in after all the time out either which was great.

Its the first time I've worn invisalign on holiday and for me coming from a cold country to wear them in the baking hot sunshine in Turkey was not a pleasant experience, my mouth was constantly dry, no matter how much water I drank, the trays rubbed in places they never used to and the smell off them was bad as I couldn't really wash up after a meal properly was what made me decide to wear them till lunchtime only and keep them out till bedtime or I'd returned to the appartment. I had a real problem taking the trays out too as everyone was so friendly shaking your hands in the restaurants (a lot of limp sweaty handshakes) then I'd to stick my fingers in my mouth to take trays out - urgh and double urgh, it seemed so rude to use a wipe or antibac gel after a handshake especially when the waitors were watching you.

I saw the ortho today, told him what I'd done, and as I wore the trays for the 3 weeks instead of 1 he was totally fine with it - too late now anyway lol.

Loads of IPR today, gums are dripping in blood yuck and I've a banging headache coz of it too, I'll not moan too much you all know how much I hate IPR. Started tray 23 which doesnt feel tight - had a sneek at my last tray 29 - looks fabby-doo!

Next appointment 27th August.
