Hi Everyone.....it's been a while. I'm just back my holidays - which were fab, lots of sunshine & dips in and out the pool & sea, loads of ice creams & scrummy food.....needless to say invisalign was most inconvenient! I found that the continual swimming and eating and drinking was just too much of a pain with invisalign so I pretty much ditched the trays during the day. I've been wearing top tray 22 for about 3 weeks instead of my prescribed 1 week and the bottom 13 ...
How annoyed am I with myself ?! I've left my bottom tray (retainer) at work in a glass of water on my desk - gross eh?! Anyways tomorrow when I get it back can see it being sore to go back in - this is the longest it's ever been out from . about 3pm this afternoon to 9am tomorrow. Kinda worried my teeth are going to go back to how there were keeping it out one night overnight. booooohoooooo
Hi Everybody – I’m chuffed to bits today. I visited my normal dentist for my 6 monthly check up – the first since I started invisalign back in January. I’m delighted to say I don’t need any fillings......that’s no fillings in my life ever! How delighted am I????? My dentist has never seen invisalign before so I explained it all to him, obviously he saw the attachments during the check-up and just made sure he didn’t poke them too much with his pointy tool. I usually get a scale and a polish during ...
Here's trays 6 and 25 to compare (I can't find tray1)
These are pics from me going from tray 19 to tray 20 on the top tonight. The bottom is finished. I'm not bothered at all by my midline - I know others wouldn't like it but I'm happy with straight. You can see one of the gaps I got IPR on that I hate - I've been told it'll close (believe it when i see it)
Well today's ortho appointment was an odd one. I thought i'd get the bottom tray off and be fitted with a retainer....but no. Today i was told to take the last tray (13) and only wear it 12 hours overnight - he checked it and said it's lasting well and is nice and clean so just to stick with that for now. I got the front attachment shaved off tho (no pain at all) as it gets on my nerves, the back attachment will just hold the tray in place. All in all that was a wee bit dissapointing...... ...
I'm having a brilliant week, sun is shining, tray 19 is a dream, no pain at all, hardly wearing the bottom tray at all, was told to try keep it out for 12 hours and use it as a retainer at night - its going well now doing this where it hurt a few weeks ago. Anyways.....I've found somthing I cant do when wearing the aligners.......wrap up presents! The other day I was wrapping a baby gift for a friend when i discovered I cant rip the sellotape with the aligners in! Mad eh? They ...
Rather embarassing photo but shows you can still have a good time in the pub wearing invisalign......and it really isnt obvious you have them in! I even won £15 in the casino only spending £5 - great! Just a good brush up when I got home before bed.
This week has been great so far, all the woes of last week are beginning to go away. Tray 17 is a good one, I have the first signs of movement on my "wonky one" and I'm chuffed to bits that it's started to move, I'll not even moan that it throbbed a teeny bit the first day or so coz I'm sooooo pleased it has started to move at last. Tray 18 tomorrow evening, wow it's been a fast week! x
Hi All, I'm back to the calm rational person I should be. Saw mr ortho today and am happy with what was discussed today. Gap at the front is going to close apparently, i've just to wait and watch - he knows what he's doing, he's decided today to go back to 1 week per tray at the top for a few weeks - show me he's right, he said the top is progressing great. To wear the bottom tray for another week or so then start taking it out longer and longer over the following 2 weeks, trying ...
I feel like I've done nothing but moan since Friday, this really must stop! I need to get a grip! I'm so sorry guys, I will cheer up soon i'm sure....it's summery today! Going by the ortho's instructions I'm to take the bottom aligner out for 12 hours a day now. On saturday evening I took it out at 6pm and put it back in at midnight.......it was agony to go back in and I cant take painkillers just now. So I'm left with a dilemma, what do I do? Do I build up to 12 hours ...
Today I am RAGING!!!! I got IPR done between my two front teeth at the top which is not on the plan and according to the clincheck these teeth are not even due to move at all....needless to say I stopped him immediately and said "no" but he insists the binding between the teeth needs to be removed to allow them to move(why when in the clincheck they dont need to move at all?!). I'm at home looking in the mirror and am soooooo angry at this gap, and very very very upset as ...
Hi all. I'm due to see the ortho tomorrow and not looking forward to telling him I'm a week behind with where he thinks I should be. With being ill in April I decided not to change trays weekly as I was told to do so I've been wearing tray 15 for 2 weeks. After being in so much tummy pain and that easing off then almost feeling normal I didnt want to have tooth discomfort next, I thought my body needed a rest. I'm sure the ortho wont be all that bothered. I was going to change to tray ...
Hi folks, It's been a few weeks since my last blog - things have been awful at home, I've been in hospital with a stomach ulcer - too many fizzy drinks over the years they recon along with a bacterial bug and it's destroyed my stomach lining - ooooh ouch, the pain, it was unbelievable! I've had every xray, ultrasound and camera shoved where you really don't want cameras shoved, needles stuck in my hands, arms, leg and back! - makes orthodontic treatment almost a pleasure! If I ...
hey folks, 2 posts in 2 days - I'm doing well! Well at lunchtime I got trays 12 put in and no IPR yipeeeee! I was give 5 sets today and told to come back 8th May, thats fab news :-) Anyways as I only have 13 trays forteh bottom I've to wear bottom tray 12 for 2 1/2 weeks and bottom tray 13 for 2 1/2 weeks until my next appointments where I'll make the decision whether I'm happy with the end result or not and if so get a retainer or see what else can be done. 16 weeks to go on the top, i'm soooooo ...
