Hi folks, havent posted much of a blog for a few weeks coz I've not really had anything to moan about....maybe I should do a more positive blog for once, ortho treatment really isnt that bad.

Tomorrow I have an appointment to pick up trays 12 - 15, this will be an odd one as I've only 13 trays for the bottom so I wonder what I'll do when I change to trays 14 and 15 before I see him again......I'll have to ask. I'm delighted with my bottom knashers and I've still 2 trays to ...

I'm a prize idiot! My last post said trays 6, that was actually trays 7 and at the moment I'm on 8, collecting trays 9 - 11 on Saturday, it's going so fast even I cant keep up!

Trays 8 have been the most annoying yet, no pain at all, just inconvenient and in the way all the time.

Hi all. Just a quick post this time. I'm on trays 6 and I'm pleased with how things are going. I'm down to one week per tray which I know everyone on here thinks is strange but my ortho has assured me it's perfectly fine and he's in charge. I'm delighted by the bottom arch progress, the gap has certainly closed up and I'm not even half way with the trays there yet. Things with the invisalign are going brilliant except for the IPR......it is soooooo evil and I hate it, so much so i'm tempted to give up. Its uncomfy and sore and the ortho wont knock me out first lol......ok, its not THAT bad but if it was an option I'd be there! Poor wee gums are shreaded and brushing is a tad tender - flossing is a big no no today. Its not his fault I know and he says sorry repeatedly......i'm ...

Well thats the IPR on the bottom complete (i think going by my plan) ....it looks odd having these gaps where i never had them before but if it's for a reason i'll go with it. ( Still went and had a cry in the car afterwards coz i REEEEEEEALLY don't like IPR, I find it so painful,uncomfortable, generally a horrible experience Got a fair bit to be done on the top at the sides i'll not mind this so much I hope.......please be ok!!!

Anyways tray 3 fits well, it was a bit tight but ...

Well folks tray 2 isnt going as well as I expected. Changed into it on Wednesday night and the top one felt fine - a little tighter than tray 1 - as though it was going to do some work.

The bottom is a completely different story! The bottom tray was reeeeeeally sore as soon as it went in......and it still hasn’t eased. As well as being tight and mucho agony (on the teeth with buttons), this tray has sharp bits everywhere which I’ve had a right go over with a nail file – it’ll be ...

Just back from a pub lunch with friends, its the first time I've had to take the trays out in a public place (I dont count my work as a public place coz theres very little girls and they all know I've started invisalign). Got trays whipped out for lunch and just had a good slosh about of water before putting them back in again after the meal, never bothered brushing, I'll do it later. I'm guessing once in a while this will be ok, I've not had anything sugary or sticky.

Well the big day has been and I’m now fitted! I’ve yet to decide if this is a good or a bad thing and what exactly I feel. The fitting.....well not the most pleasant hour of my life. I got a bit of that evil filing down done.....mucho sore - I’m just a big baby who’s never had anything like that before and it was more the sensation I didn’t like. I got my attachments put straight on from the word go with “tray 0” which felt incredibly tight. In all I’ve 7 attachments, 3 on the top right, 2 ...

All booked for invisalign fitting 10th January, it's all worked out well, I can munch Christmas dinner, drink the dreaded Irn Bru and scoff toffees to my hearts content till then.

Saw the clincheck on Saturday, looks great, he mentioned the result wont be as good as the actual computer graphic - says it never is and he might have to finish me off with tracks if I'm not happy (wee bit gutted about that).

Says I've LOADS of filing down to be done to create the space - scared stiff coz I've never even had a filling, hope it doesn't hurt!

Anyways, I just had a phone call from my ortho who confirmed he hasn't forgottten about me and I WILL have my invisalign trays / aligners or whatever you want to call them fitted before Christmas, this has come as a surprise as I've yet to see the clincheck. I suppose I'll just have to trust him. Seems and age since I went forthe first consultation. Keep you posted........

Thought i'd add some before photos. I know some of you will think that my wonky tooth is nothing to worry about but when you get bruised from "munching" the inside of your lip continually I thought it time to get it sorted. The little gap at the bottom is getting fixed too. The ortho said best to get top and bottom done together as if he's widening my arch by a few mm to turn in the wonky one might as well widen the bottom so I can still eat properly. (Gotta get my priorities right ...

Today was the third visit to my ortho and today impressions were taken for sending off to Invisalign. It wasnt a lovely experience but i'm still alive and my teeth are still in my mouth, how I'll never know, they felt like they were being pulled out. He is happy with my impressions and talked me into doing the lower arch to close a gap that didnt even bother me, I know it will now it's been pointed out tho! ...
