Today was my final ortho appointment before getting my braces off. I got a little bit of the dreaded IRP and he’s promised no more.......ever, YES!!!!!!
I’ve a date of 8th October to remove the attachments and take the moulds for the retainers in the morning and I’ll pick up the retainers later in the afternoon. I also asked today what type of retainer I’ll get and was told just like invisalign but stronger and built to last, so I’m chuffed about that too – if I ever want whitening it’ll save buying the trays too. Mr Ortho is delighted with how invisalign has worked and sees no need for any refinements at all, yipeeeee no tracks or anything. Although I’ve only 2 trays left, I’ve to wear number 27 for one more week, then 28 for 2 weeks then 29 for 4 weeks just to be sure all the movement is complete and it’s been in long enough before retainers, so 7 more weeks and I’ll be finished.
I’m delighted and also quite sad too, we always have such a laugh in the surgery, the assistant loves that I give the ortho grief about IRP and I make such a fuss – today with my whinging and him arguing back was like an old married couple lol.
I’m going to take some new photos soon and will get them posted, the difference in tray 1 and tray 29 is amazing.
