Zebstriped

Well I got the ceramic braces on yesterday 11/9/09, and the appointment went smoothly. I was surprised by the fact that I need to wear a top retainer 24x7, and am trying to learn to speak normally again.

For ligatures, my ortho recommended against the clear since I'm a smoker, which the tech had already put on the bottom row of teeth. I asked her to put silver on top, and I think the silvers are much less noticable than the clear on the bottom. I'll find out soon how easy these suckers are to stain!

I have only had one meal since getting the braces on yesterday, and it was a challenge. It's not that my teeth hurt, it's just so awkward chewing with the retainer and braces. It's like I'm afraid to eat!

My mouth has some sores inside already, and the wax has been a godsend. First adjustment is 12/7/09.
