Just got my braces off

i got my braces off 2 days ago and my teeth look nice!

i have a question about retainers, i'm getting mine in a few days and i was wondering if i can leave it off when i goto school and put it back on for the rest of the day and night..basically just take it off when i go out to the movies for a couple of hours or something is this ok?

dont take them off too much when you first get them off. The first month or 2 is most crucial and your teeth will move if you arent wearing your retainer! Good luck

i dont think wearing my retainer 18 hours out of 24 hours is going to screw up my teeth.

i doubt it.. but why risk.. especially during the first month of getting your braces off...

Take it from me. I didnt wear my retainer as much as I should and my teeth moved all over the place and eventually my retainer didnt fit over my teeth anymore!

So I had to get the braces back on and that is where I am today. When I get these off, you can be sure I'll be wearing the retainer 24/7!!!!
