Lips after braces

Yes I know they will return to normal size, except how long? I still see the space between my lips and teeth like there are "invisible braces". When do they get smaller? It's been 1 month btw.

My lips are the same size they always were, it's just the brackets holding them up from my lips that makes my lips look a little fuller ... and illusion.

Most of our clients find their lips return to touching their lips the same day as there brackets are removed, as they enjoy that until they have their retainers put on, then they're no longer touching.

I'm sure your ortho can help ... and hopefully it will be very soon for you!

It took a while for me, I swear I still looked like I had the braces on for a while after they were off, maybe 2 - 3 months (but it got better, gradually, during that time).. I think your body is just so used to having the braces it takes a while, but I found that doing facial exercises helped

my lips and whole mouth looked wierd when I had braces on. I must say, I didn't exactly wear them proudly and smile full metal in pictures... but once I got used to them, I started...

Once getting them off, my mouth/lips seemed to return back to normal quickly.
