Default Retainer Pain

I recently got my retainers on for my bottom teeth. The plastic mold was alittle tight on the right side of my gum. I went to the orthadontist and he shaved alittle off with a high speed filer thing. The area he shaved off is reallly ruff now and it is bothering my tongue. what can I do to make it alittle smoother???Ive tried to melt it to make it more liquidy but it made alot of ruff bubbles which didn't help.

my sister had the same issue. I think the person that took the molds sort of screwed up!

I would get the ortho to take new molds or try to shave down the area that is bothering you.

In the meantime use the wax that is available from your ortho or local drugstore and line it with the wax.
