    I don't wear my retainer

It's been 5 years since I got my braces off. For 2 years I wore a retainer, but for 3 years, I have not. My teeth have not really moved all too much at all, how likely is it that it will still move in the future?

Teeth continue to move as long as you're alive. They move more when you've had orthodontic treatment. If your teeth haven't moved, your retainers will fit without an issue ... so the choice is your's.

    Good luck!

I recommend you keep the retainer for life. Throw it in a couple times a week while sleeping. It's pretty easy, so why not? Having teeth move and getting braces again is way too common...

I am with Sunny and Mike! I had my braces removed when I was a teenager, and it wasn't until years later that they started to move... so much that I had to go through re-treatment. Expensive - and no fun!

As Mike says, wearing retainers is so simple and comfortable; I'd stick with it to avoid re-treatment down the line.

    Retainer

If my teeth shifted slightly and my retainer doesn't fit. Could the orthodontist adjust my retainer to fit my teeth? Or would I have to get a completely new retainer?

That's something your ortho would need to work out. It depends on the type of retainer and the type of movement the tooth needs. Often when it's small it can be fixed by the ortho making an adjustment ot a hawley retainer.
