braces off hate results, has anyone managed to get teeth moved back

Hi i've just had my braces taken off after having 2 top teeth removed and them all moved back. I hate the results as my face is now totally sunken. I have actually considered taking my life as it has runined my life so much and i can't stand what i have done to myself. especially when i was so happy before this happened. I am looking to have the teeth moved back into the old position with the use of a head brace or any other treatment available. I want to know if anyone has been successful in having this done so far and how they did it, also please give your orthos contact details if so. I have an appointment in london next week as i thought they may be more willing to help me and they have said their is some hope, but still feeling very down about it.

sorry to hear about this. I would start with your orthodontist and let him/her know you are unhappy with the results... if you can't get what you are loooking for there, than go seek another ortho...

yay had a call from a dentist late yesterday who thinks he will be able to move my teeth back to their intial position. Very excited about this and is such a break through after so many not willing to help yay!!!!!!!!!

I was in a similar position 8-9 years ago. Braces off and still a big gap between my front two teeth. The ortho made one excuse after another, the gap always comes back (well you didn't even close it for it to come back), and eventually said he'd arrange a second opinion which would take about two months. The appointment never came, I never chased it up (was in my teens at the time).

Years later I've paid thousands of pounds to refix my teeth with invisalign, teeth whitening and lingual retainers and I finally have a perfect smile.

Interestingly I came across another person years later who was angry at the same ortho because his daughters treatment was also 'finished' at an incomplete stage. I've often thought about complaining about this ortho (to the NHS?) but doubt they'd take my complaint seriously after all these years.
