Hallo,

I wear a retainer. The one that I wear has some soldering in the back that connects two wires.

Regular cleaning wears the soldering off so that eventually I need to take the retainer into my orthodontist so they can sent it to their laboratory to solder the pieces back together.

My question: (and I have asked the laboratory this, but they're "too busy") - If i solder the retainer wires together by myself (I can easily do this), would it be okay to have the regular solder in my mouth?

Or would I need special soldering that is safe for the mouth?
