I don't like my left side.

I had my braces taken off about a week ago and after looking at my teeth throughout the week (is that normal? haha) I still feel like my smile is a bit goofy from before I had braces. My orthodontist said he would "tighten up" my teeth in the front so that there's no more holes when I smile and fix my bite on my left side. But even after my treatment-- of six months -- I don't think he did all that completely:

Enjoy the cute and fairly large image. But my overbite seems to create so much more shadow over my bottom teeth in real life. I can't bite down on things or chew with my left side so I can only bite and chew with my right unless if I try really hard and adjust my jaw which I don't even bother. Should I just keep wearing my retainer thinking that somehow my top and bottom row of teeth are going to align? Maybe it's not that big of a deal -____-?

Talk to your ortho about your concerns. Did you have the short six month treatment? If you did, this is a cosmetic form of orthodontics and is more about disguising issues and making the front teeth look as good as possible in that time.
