How long are you meant to have your damon's on for?
Hi,
I'm new to this forum, i have had damon braces on for about nine months now. So far my teeth have moved extremely quickly and have been relatively pain free |

Well, I was quoted about 15 months for my teeth. You can see the "before" shot on my blog and see that my teeth were pretty good to begin with. However, I have a bite problem to fix as well, so it's not all cosmetic.
I'm not worried about time, I'm worried about the "heavier wires" |

Of course, every case is unique, so it's impossible to say. Some people will have more work than others for alignment and levelling, and some people will have more work than others on the bite. So really only your ortho could give you an estimate on the remaining timeline. Look at it this way, you'll be done when you're done, and no amount of worrying about it will help that; may as well just go about your daily life, and just look forward to debanding day - whenever it may come - knowing that you'll be able to enjoy the fruits of your time in braces for many many years to come.

thanks for replying, i know all cases are individual of course and that only my orthodontist can give a real estimate but i just was wondering if i could get a rough idea from looking at all the case studies and other personal experiences online. originally all my ortho said was that 90% of cases take 18-20 months, but i am hoping they might be off a bit before that as i am at university and would really like some time braces-free before i graduate. my teeth have been straight for quite a while now and it's just my right side of my lower arch that really need widening to correct my bite which is frustrating as the other side is almost done.
