    UK - Damon Braces

    Hi,
I am trying to understand whether my son is getting a good deal on his Damon brace or not. Living in Chichester (South England) I am being quoted £3700 for the usual 18-24 month fitting and follow up sessions.

Can anyone else from the UK confirm whether this sounds right?

We had a second orthodontist with a conventional brace that quoted £25000. Quite a difference.

Thanks in advance for your help

    Cost

I am not sure what the price would be in the UK but you should try searching for other Damon braces providers online or call the company and ask if they have a list of providers.

In the US (California Bay Area) it is about 5000 USD for 20-24 months treatment. This is about £3000 but pricing will vary according to your location.

Good luck with finding other providers!

Our ortho for my daughter quoted 5180 for Damon clear on top six and damon Q on the rest for 12-16 months for entire treatment including xray, records & retainers. So I would say within the smae range since your son has longer treatment. We live in the states, Houston TX.
    Hope this helps too

I got damon brackets back in January and have been given a price of £2500, he said when they get the clear ones he'll do them for £2800. This is in Glasgow.

    Hi there,
I live in Essex and I've been offered £4370 for Damon 3's on the top six and conventional on the rest for about 10-12months treatment time. I hope this helps a little bit.

    Hi Jammy,

I am an adult looking to get Damon braces and live in glasgow. Can you kindly let me know where you got your quotes and braces?

I just moved to Glasgow and do not have a dentist yet. Any help will be appreciated

    Hi Kalone,

I got my braces put on the 20th of January. The quote and where I'm getting my treatment is the Kirkintilloch orthodontic clinic.

You will need a referral from your Dentist to be sent to the orthodontist and they will then send you a letter telling you to phone to make an appointment.

He still doesn't have the Damon Clear brackets yet which is quite annoying, he reckons he will get them in September.

    Damon

    Hi

I am from Essex - Chelmsford area. My orth quoted me 3700 as well for the whole treatment. I am goind to see two more orthos within the next two weeks to shop around. I am not really into the Damon braces thing, I would prefer traditional braces especially if they are cheaper!!!

why would you need a referral from your dentist? if it is a private treatment you do not need it

My daughter is 11 and I am paying £2500 for her 18-24 month treatment. This is for Damon clears on the front and Damon Q everywhere else. The price also includes removeable braces which are adjusting her jaw and she will wear these for approximately 8 months. I got a good deal from my Ortho as he has treated me previously and I felt bold enough to barter him down. If I were you I would try to negotiate with the price - nothing is fixed in this financial climate! Good luck.

Ceramic upper, metal lower for a total of 17 months.

I'm in Surrey. There wasn't really an original quote, I just know that he usually charges between £3000 to £3500 but as he treated me for almost two years we have a good relationship so I felt comfortable with going in with the 'you can do better than that' approach to the price.

i'm paying £4570 for 6 damon clear on top and the rest D3. think the price was meant to be £4900 but the surgery messed up and are only charging the lower price as an apology!! It's a lot but my ortho has a great reputation apparently.
