Damon 3Mx or Damon Q with $1200 more

I am going to choose from two ortho. One uses Damon Q0.22 and the other uses Damon 3Mx. The one use Q0.22 quotes me $1200 more. So it is about $4800 for 3Mx and $5000 for Q0.22. it seems to me that Q0.22 is an upgraded (? or better?) product, but I really do not know whether it is worth extra $1200? BTW, I am comfortable with both ortho, probably more comfortable with the one using 3Mx. Thanks.

Great you're soon to make this difficult choice ... if you're more comfortable with one ortho than the other ... even slightly ... go with that person.

Have you asked them both to show you before and after photos of alignment issues like you have, so you can see how well they've turned out?

Do you like the look of one bracket more than another? That might help you decide.

Wow I feel for you. We had a couple orthos give different options Damon , Damon clear , invisalign and in ovation. Finally the last ortho we met with told me that if I hear something different than what he prescribed to call him and ask him. Why don't you do that find out the ortho what are the advantages if any using the more expensive bracket. Maybe he is comfortable with it if so tell him the price difference and ask why is it so much more. Maybe his price includes other things. Xrays retainers etc.
Good luck and not bad price our quote range from 6100 to 4800 for all services start to final out of retainer for 12-15 months.

I'm using the Damon Q brace which my orthodontist recommended for me. Apparently it has a lower profile from the previous model so it doesnt stick out as much. I was expecting the Damon 3, but got the newer one here in Melbourne, Australia.

I will be getting Damon Q braces put on in 3 weeks time. Just wondering where you got yours and how much you paid for them as I am also in Melbourne. I will be getting mine in Bentleigh and the price for them is $5700 and I will have them for two years. Also how have you found the damon q braces and do they look very noticable?
