Hi, I'm new here
I'm going to put my braces next week, and I have a few days to decide which one I want
Now, I have a dilemma and need your help. My ortho uses Damon and In-Ovation (ceramic). Damon is a bit cheaper than In-Ovation.
Will ceramic ones stain and turn into yellow?
Will Damon do better job than In-Ovation? Is it better quality?
Thanks![]()
Welcome LittleM
actually there is a thread about this question already under traditional. I would look there for all the different converstations. But really both brackets are good. What does the ortho prefer. If the question is ceramics vs metal you'll see that thread discussion too.
Good luck
Hi and welcome LittleM
It can be tough when an ortho offers more than one type of bracket, but really the decision needs to be one that allows you to focus on which bracket you feel you'll be most comfortable with.
All brackets do the same job ... and they don't move teeth, so it's about looks for your comfort. One type will not do a better job than another, this is something your ortho does using her/his skill, archwires and other other possible add-ons, like powerchains, powerchords and elastics.
Ceramic brackets do not stain, so please don't worry about that one!
Good luck with your research and decision!![]()
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
