    Damon door not closed

My braces were put on earlier today and I just realised that one of the doors are still open! If you look at the photo its the bottom crooked tooth. She said something about one of the teeth not having enough space so she would leave it to make more room but im not 100% sure if this is what she was talking about. Could this be normal as this did not happen from eating, brushing or flossing as the photo was take soon after they were on. Is there ever a case where they leave the door open to let the other teeth move and make space?

On another not I can already feel that the top tooth that is underbiting has already moved as when I bite it hits my bottom teeth. Wont this be really awkward as it completely shits forward?

The orthos office is not open tommorrow but I will give them a call when they are.

Give your ortho's office a call when you can and get a definite answer.

With the first flexible wire, it usually does fit in all brackets, but maybe that tooth is too rotated for your ortho to want it locked to the bracket at this point.

Good luck and here's to everything moving along well.
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!

I have 2 teeth which don't have wires in them because one is pretty turned and the other is pushed behind all my other teeth. And my ortho also told me the same thing - that once my teeth start moving, she'll attach the wire into those 2 brackets because at the moment I don't have enough space.

Definitely call your ortho as soon as you can to ease any worries ^^

I sent them an email with that picture and I have to go back there in a couple of days for them to check it out. Im pretty sure that wire should be closed in the door but we shall see.

With most of the flexible archwires it is possible to have them in all brackets, unless the tooth is very rotated or locked behind another tooth, which that tooth doesn't appear to be in your photo, but photos rarely show the whole story.

It's good you're having it checked out davo!

It may be just something as simple as they forgot to stick the wire in and close the door. I had that happen to me twice (once, the wire was in, but the door was left open; the second time, the wire was just hangin' out with the door open). Both times I fixed it myself, but it's good you're checking with them, just in case it was done for some reason they didn't tell you.

I did try to push the wire in but had no luck. I figured that if I have to force it in hard I probably shouldnt be trying.
