    In-Ovation C braces - anyone?

I found a picture online of braces that had the front 6 or so teeth brackets clear and hardly visible, and the further back ones normal metal type ones.

I'd like these! (I think) Has anyone got 'em?

There are several on this site with in-ovactions (these brackets have metal clips, which means they're not as discrete as many of the other ceramic brackets, but they're still a nice looking bracket) and other brands of ceramic brackets. Use the search engine ... and try a few different spellings!

    Good luck!
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!

I have In-Ovation ceramic on the top and metal on the bottom. I've been happy with them, but I have nothing to compare them to. Like Sunny noted they do have a "metal" door, but its a shade of white to blend in. They are not as clear as say a radiance bracket, but I have found that my bracket isnt that noticeable unless someone is close, say within 5-10 feet.. The wire stands out more than the bracket as I am on a heavy guage wire now.

I too have In-Ovation C ceramic on top and metal (Damon) on the bottom.) I've been reasonably happy with them, with 2 negative points to make:

They 'protrude' more from my teeth than the metal Damons on the bottom and I read somewhere that they protrude more than any other clear bracket. (I'm talking about how much they stand out/off from each tooth.) This is slightly more noticeable visibly, but the main downer to it is the way they feel - I do think I'm more aware of them on the inside of my upper lip than I would be with a less-protruding bracket. They almost seem to snag on the inside of my upper lip. It's liveable-with, but if I were doing this over again, it's a factor I'd want to know about beforehand.

The other point is that, being ceramic, they seem to catch more on my lip and to be less slippy due to saliva, compared to my bottom metal Damon braces - which my lower lip just slides over.

I think, from the perspective of comfort, all metal Damon would have been the way to go - but I do like having clear brackets on top for aesthetic reasons.

    In-Ovation C on the top
    Damon on the bottom

    Should take 15-18 mnths......
