Is it possible to have Damon braces on just the top set of teeth

My bottom row are pretty much perfect, but my top row isnt so good, ive got one pretty twisted tooth and some gaps between other teeth. So is it possible to just have damon braces on my top set?

    Thanks in advance

Yes it is, but usually they need to do both top and bottom because as your teeth move your bite changes too, and sometimes they need to brace both to fix the bite. Also, as your top move, it often times moves the bottom. So it is a good idea to brace both..and honestly the bottom are not bad at all.
Hope this helps, you should go see an ortho to get a professional opinon.

Hi and welcome to this forum DCP!

As Lauralea has written, it is indeed possible to have just one arch corrected, although you have to realise that as the top teeth are moved around, this will most likely impact on your bite and therefore your lower teeth.

Make appointments to see a few orthodontist's and hear what they recommend.
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!

Also, what may look "pretty much perfect" to your eye, may not look the same to your ortho - often people believe they have "perfect" teeth, when, to an ortho, and on close examination, they don't. But it might mean that you don't need to have the bottom arch braced for as long as the top one - you might start out with just the top arch braced for a good while before the bottom is added in, and the bottom might not be braced very long at all. Speak to your ortho!
Bonded retainers fitted upper and lower & braces removed at 19 months 2 weeks.

    Braces were:

    In-Ovation C on the top
    Damon on the bottom

Thanks for the quick reply guys, suppose I will have to check out an orthodontist then.
