Your teeth look to be progressing well, which is to be expected during the alignment stage. I can understand why you're so excited and here's hoping that your treatment continues to go so well and your treatment time is reduced.
Often the final stages are the slower ones due to the progress being made, not bein so visable as it's more about aligning the roots of the teeth and tweaking the position of the teeth.
Treatment times are an estimate, due to there being many factors influencing how a person's teeth move. Remember the brackets aren't moving your teeth, it's the archwires that do that job. The skill of the ortho is important, but most important are your teeth and the condition they are in. Obviously the patients compliance is another important factor. Also, from your experience with damon braces, are initial treatment times more than reality?
Your photos aren't clear, but it looks like you're wearing class III elastics, which can do two things, move the lower teeth back and the upper teeth forward. It doesn't look like you're not wearing powerchains yet, so it's more likely that the uppers will move forward, but this is only a guess. The person to ask is your orthodontist.Just out of curiosity, what is he trying to do with me wearing the elastics?
Good luck with your treatment continuing to go well!![]()
