Got my braces on this morning!

Hello and welcome! You must be having a hell of a day...I remember that all I could think of on that first day was 'What have I done to myself?!' But it will get so much better soon, so hang in there...I learned a lot by reading about other people's experiences in this forum. How long would you have your braces for?

I felt the same way "what did I do to myself!!!" I am now 14 days away from getting them off after 2 1/2 yrs!
You'll do just fine and know you made the right decision. My advice to you is to follow your ortho's directions to the 'T' and you'll be right on target. I'm getting mine off 1 mo early!!:)

I am thankful for this forum because I have been on here for a while reading about everyone else's experiences. I feel like I was better prepared because I've been watched everyone else go through it.

Thank you! I have been reading your blog. I saw your amazing progress and it helped me to finally commit to getting braces this time. I have thought about it for years but I never actually did it until I started reading the forums and other people's blogs.

Amazing how they have changed in 12 weeks!

How many wire changes have you had so far? Do they become tender again after each change? (I've had mine for a week!)

I have only had one wire change at week 10. That's also when I got the powerchain too. I was definitely in a LOT of pain with this adjustment. I was so upset until I saw the gap closing instantly and when I woke up, I felt like I had been chewing on bricks but I looked in the mirror and I thought "This is all worth it!" And it really is worth it when you can totally see progress.
