Best Option

I currently am in cross bite, when I went to the orthodontist he said i would need spacers and regular braces for about 2 years.

I currently do modeling so appearance of braces is very important to me as well as their effectiveness of the braces.

Which is the best option for me ?

Maybe if you choose a more discreet option, like ceramic or ibraces. ibraces are behind your teeth, can't affect a modelling career at all unless you take pictures with your mouth open really wide. Ceramic is less visible, but still on the front of your teeth

Hi Holly and welcome to this forum.

If you require the best 'invisable' orthodontic treatment, then you need to find an ortho who specialises in lingual brackets, like ibraces. They work the same as brackets attached to the front of your teeth, and although it may take a few more days for the initial adjustment period, after that, most people find them pain free and easy to live with!

Many orthodontists no longer use molar bands and therefore no spacers. Unless there's another reason for having a band round a tooth, like the need for an expander, nance or TPA, many ortho's now use buccal molar brackets instead of molar bands. Don't be concerned about molar bands though, as unless someone is photographing in your mouth, they're not noticable.

Good luck with researching further and finding an orthodontist who understands your needs.
