Need help! thanks!

Ok so I had braces for about 4 years and my teeth were perfectly straight. My wisdom teeth were huge and made my second to last molars shift a lot! I now have straight teeth except my back molars and they are very crooked. My ortho wants to brace them only in the back. He says invisalign wont work for them but I might go to a diff ortho to try invisalign. Do you think it will work? What should I do? He wants to brace them for up to 6 months there must be an alternative since im in college and dont want braces again. How is suresmile?

Here is a pic of my molars that have shifted

Why do you want to straighten these teeth? Are they affecting your jaw joints?

Many ortho's do not include the second or third molars in treatment, unless they affect how the teeth bite. These molars are not visible, and therefore do not affect how teeth appear.

Think about the 'why?' question, plus definitely have more consults.

I need to straighten them because they are affecting my bite, it is not off to the side my front teeth are now aligned anymore.

If they're affecting your bite, you should speak to a few orthodontists to find out what needs to be done. You may need to have just your lowers treated, or some type of removable appliance to correct how they bite, without the need to to put them into your arch. If you do require major movement, invisalign may not be able to do this for you. Lingual brackets are another possibility, if you are concerned about your appearance.

Your molars look great, and better than most people after orthodontic treatment, so hopefully your treatment will be easy and short.

Good luck with your consults!

Hi, I would agree with Sunny. I have braces on all my teeth. even the one's in the back but they all had to be moved inorder to make the bite correct. Look a number of orthodontists to see what they say.
