Help?!

My dad can't turn my expander....... we went to the orthodontist three days ago and we found out he wasn't even putting the key in the right hole and they showed him how to do it again and the assistant made it look easy. He tried turning my expander and he STILL didn't see it move like he did when he did it in the office. He is just going to take me back Monday and try again (we're leaving for an overnight trip tommorrow so its not possible to do earlier) and since my family is full of bad eyes I'm afraid doing it again isn't going to work (not possible for me to do it).

so what are you asking? The expander is pretty easy.. just stick the end of the key into the hole and push it 1 turn per day usually. Its probably best that you do it yourself...

That's a major nuisance SouthernGirl. I hope your father actually did get it right, but just didn't see the movement.

When you get your appointment with your father, ask what other options there are. For example can you go weekly to have your expander checked, or maybe you'll need to find someone other than a person in your family to work your expander.

Thats all the time I have today. I was just checking very quickly before my family and I left to Columbus,GA.

The weekly thing will just drive my parents insane when I go back to school in August as they alternate morning and afternoon appointments for everyone so it would turn incovenient in August.

I hardly know anyone in my area and since the plan is already backed up we would have to come back close to every day since I don't know hardly anyone except my friends and family.
