Feel Pain When Brace Open

I feel pain on tooth each time a brace is open to replace the wire.

How much pain do you feel?

My Ortho was surprise to see soo much improvement in my crossbite in a month time. It was a 120% improvement with the full expected presume to be only 100%.

I think the pain you are feeling is the iniital pressure release... completely normal at the time of appointments...

Great that your crossbite is doing so well 18! It's exciting to see and feel the progress!

I've never had any discomfort with ligs being changed, although I think there were a few moments of that 'ahhh' feeling when I was upgraded from the usual sized powerchain to the tight one. My lower teeth were a bit sensitive for an hour or two, but nothing that didn't stop me eating as I usual do!

So far no pain and I'm hoping it remains that way!

good job on fixing the crossbite... i'm not sure why you have pain when having the wire changed either?

I only get "extreme" pain on tooth just before the bracket door pops open to release the wire. What is the best way to prevent calcium build up in the brackets, the person has problem opening the door 2nd and 4th visit so extra force used to pop it open. But third visit was good they can open the bracket easily resulting in no PAIN!
