Just got braced!

Well, I finally decided to consult an orthodonitst for my bite issue. My Mid line is a bit off and bothers me.

Ortho put me in spacers and then slapped on braces about 1 week later.

I have metal on top and bottom.

Estimated time is 18 months.

I'll keep posting my progress

bye bye

Jamie

Well congratulation on getting your braces. It may seem as if they are a big pain but after a couple of months you get used to them and you really start to notice a difference.

When you mean spacers are you referring to the pallet expander? If so I feel for you. That had to be the most unpleasant part of it all but luckily that stays on the least.

Do you have any pictures of your mouth? It is really fun to see how they change from month to month.

Good luck with your braces and I hope to read more updates,

Adam

I havent ever got a chance to use braces but my brother had used it.
18 months is quite normal with every doctor as the doctor had told my brother 18months too.
Just dont worry and everything will be fine. You will be needing a month or two to get used to the braces and after that you will enjoy it.
I am waiting for more information from you.
Till then Best of luck!

Cool

18months is very long...
I guess you went to the dentist a bit late.

You would have had saved 12 months if you had gone early.

Well, at the start I was very nervous and very sad like my mouth looked shit with it but now when its removed and my teeth is better, i now laugh at myself that how could i even think that?
Soooo the best thing is to love what you god right now cuz after 18months you would feel like your in heaven.
Hehe... keep posting the progess

You think 18 months is long? FEH! I had it for FOUR YEARS. But trust me, the little pain and werid looking mouth is worth it in the end, even i will say that.

How did you have it for only half a year? I guess it all depends on how messed up your teeth are.

Great! I am sure that you are going to love the results. I look forward to seeing more updates as you progress. It will also be really neat for you to look back at the pictures of the progress that you have made from point A to point B.

18 months is not so bad. I had to endure them for over 4 years. Nice picture there..Well, it's been 2 months, I don't think we will be hearing from her again. Those early days of pain are forever etched in my brain. I wonder what Jamie is eating right now..lol

So it's 2 months that you got your braces, so by this time you must have got used to it. 18 months is ok as, I retained them for 2 and half years. Why don't you think of posting your latest snap?
