Aligners digging into lower gums first few days?

Anyone find that the aligners dig into the gums under the front few teeth and actually cause a bit of bleeding?

I think this could be normal, but i'm worried it is actually doing damage to my gums.. the pain goes away pretty quick though.

I don't have that problem. I do have it push into the roof of my mouth just behind my teeth sometimes.

I wonder if your gums are swollen from brushing too hard

I'm with you...I've always found switching to a new aligner to be just awful for around the first 3 days. In fact my current aligner is the only one that's gone smoothly - maybe my luck is changing...

I did talk to my dentist about this, and his response was that some aligners are worse than others and I should let him know about ones that were particularly awful. If you're having this happen consistently, I'd let your ortho know. It may not be a problem, but he may be able to offer some advice that can help...
