Starting Invisalign this Oct. Have question
Hi all,
I am starting invisalign this october and have been told that it's 13 months treatment, 26 top and 23 bottom. I have couple of questions. 1. I have a cap on the front tooth. Doctor has warned me that it may come out and they will fix it when ever it happens and not to worry. I am worried a lot about this. How frequently can I expect it to come out? Does anyone have the same issue? Will it be a problem in teeth movement if it keeps on poping out ? 2. I know that we should drink only water and no other drinks. Is cold water be ok ? Thanks -S |

Cold water's fine, although the teeth can sometimes get a bit sensitive when they are being moved, and if that happens you may not tolerate very cold water so easily. Hot water would be bad - hot drinks are out because they can warp the trays.
I'm a little bit surprised about the cap, to be honest. I wore fixed braces, and there was no problem at all with my crownded teeth for the duration of my treatment. If a permanent cap/crown comes off as a result of orthodontia, then it seems to me that there is a problem with that crown. |
