    Wisdom teeth before Invisalign

    Hello,

So I've decided to have my wisdom teeth removed before I begin my Invisalign treatment. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how long I will have to wait after my wisdom teeth are removed to get molds done of my teeth for Invisalign. I guess I'm just anxious to get this treatment started.

I guess it would all depend on what country you're from, and whether your having the work done privately?

Aklassen this is a question for your orthodontist. S/he will be able to give you a timetable to follow for the beginning of your treatment.

Not so many people have wisdom teeth removed these days, unless they're impacted. After having impacted teeth removed, it's necessary to wait till the stitches have disolved (or are removed) and the majority of healing is done.

Good luck with getting your treatment started!

I have just emailed my orthodontist that I want to go with for Invisalign (well the other day) about the exact same thing.
I haven't had a reply yet though... maybe I have freaked him out with all my questions

IHIC questions are good, as you need to be well informed before you make a decision as important as having orthodontic treatment.

If you don't get a reply within another couple of days, maybe it would be wise to follow your email with a phone call to the office to check that your email was received.

    Good luck!

If a few questions are enough to disturb the doc, then you might want to look for another doc! Hopefully you'll get a response soon.
