Unhappy 2nd night on invisialign , could not put back the upper aligner

    Hi,
I am just on my second night of invisialign, I got my aligners fixed for the first time in orthodontists office yesterday evening , so its officially my second night. I got 40 upper and 8 lower to go. I was able to remove and put back my upper and lower aligners better until before lunch. I was able to remove them before lunch.

But after having lunch and cleaning my teeth and aligners, I was able to put my lower aligner easily , but the upper aligner was not holding up on the right back teeth very well it was coming down , I tried several times without success . So I just left without putting both aligners back until after dinner and then tried again.

Now my problem is the doctor is not available for the weekend. I have put back my lower aligner. How to make sure my UPPER ALIGNER fits CORRECTLY ON THE RIGHT UPPER SIDE ON THE BACK TEETH .

IT fits okay on my front teeth and left upper side on the back teeth.

Please help anyone with any suggestions?

Should I removed both and leave it until monday and consult the doctor , I am afraid I might lose two days without invisialign in the process if I don't wear them

    please please anyone some suggestions

    thank you

This is a weird case. You only had the the aligners out to get a bite to eat and the uppers do not fit the same. I would try to work them in using your finger, tongue, etc and see if you can get them on.. just until you meet with your ortho on monday.

This has never happened to me... although one time while on vacation I forgot my trays for 3 days and the trays i was on ended up being super tight to where I had to take a pain reliever...

Hang in there.. it gets MUCH MUCH easier.. the first few days you are just getting used to the process.

That is strange- I have had problems removing mine, but I must confess never putting them back in.

Did the aligner originally sit tight on your back teeth? Have you checked that the plastic is intact without any splits?

I often find after inserting mine that I need to bite down gently on them to seat them properly on my teeth, have you tried that?

If you really can't reinsert the top one properly, I think you would have to wait until Monday to call your orthodontist. In the meantime though, I would keep the bottom one in, otherwise you will go backwards on your lower arches as well.

Let us know what your orthodontist says.
