    Yet another question!!

Ok so these aligners are giving me a "gluggy" mouth because of all the brushing and rinsing etc and it does not go away when I drink water and yes I am drinking heaps of water. This gluggy feeling is also giving me bad breath? Is this normal?

So yesterday I had one tic tac which Im sure was a no no but am wondering if I could suck on a sugarless mint or what about that breath spray?

Do you think that putting a teaspoon of cordial in a bottle of water of 600mls would be ok just to vary what I can drink with them in?

Honestly, I think you should probably just stick to water. I have a feeling that a light coating of sugar within the aligners would only make your breath problem and gluggy feeling worse, not better.

Are you using a mouthwash? I'm not, but I wondered whether this would have any effect at all. Not sure if anyone else could tell us that.

You are putting the enamel on your teeth at risk, if you have any fluid/food that contains sugar or acid in it ... and most do ... other than water.

Where I work, it's water only for invisalign wearers ... and this is definitely a disadvantage of this system, but if you want it to work, you'll be fine. Talk to your ortho and ask her/him for advice on this, as this is the person who's advice you need to follow.

    Good luck!
