I'm a health nut and I do take nutritional supplements to keep me in tip top shape.
Are there any nutritional supplements available to help with tooth/root health?
Currently I take:
- Greens+ powder
- Multivitamin
- Fish oils
- Protein powder
- Ginko Biloba
- Green Tea extract
Hmm Walsh I somehow don't think that was exactly what 350GT was after.

I suppose you just want to ensure that you have enough calcium. I am a little wary of supplememts as an avid new scientist reader, given that several recent studies have shown that people that take supplements often have a shorter not longer average life expectancy. I'm not sure that the health benefits of them are in any way proven by double blind trials.
I asked my nutritionist about this too and she said that the only supplement that she would recommend for a normal healthy person was selenium.
Each to their own though :-)

I have a slightly different way of looking at things ... and that's looking at what we should be eating and how.
By that I mean ... rather than adding 'made' products to our food by supplementing it ... it's more about why and how to do this naturally without having to add anything. This means that what you can do will be something you can do for life and not only while you can afford or be bothered taking supplements.
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
My current diet is VERY good already. Whole natural foods, lots of fibrous leafy green vegetables, lean meats and fish, fruits such as blueberries, bananas, strawberries, peaches, and pineapple, oatmeal every morning, etc.
If I can feel that taking a supplement will bring me optimal health over not taking it, I will consider it after researching.
Let's not get into a debate over supplements vs. nutrition only from foods.
