How many days till the lisp goes away?

How many days does it take for your mouth to acclimate itself with the lisp?

Does forcing yourself to talk more than normal help speed up the process?

I was told that for regular braces it takes about 3-7 days to get used to talking with them, So I presume its the same if not less for invisalign. I have also heard that talking happily and a tiny bit louder may help with the lisp.

    Good luck!

At the start, my lisp went away after a day or so. When I start new trays now, some of the do make me lisp, but it takes just a few minutes for my mouth to get used to them and adapt.

    It won't.

I just completed my invisalign (about 5 months) and my mouth Always looked weird with them in and I never got used talking in them.

However, I have a small mouth so it might be different for you.

I never had a lisp and adapted to them right away - it seems like it just depends on the person.

Think it took me about 10 days, but I don't have a lisp when I start a new tray

I probably lisped strongly for a week or two in the beginning. I still have trouble with certain sounds occasionally, but I think I'm the only one who notices I've had my current trays for 5+ months (upper) and a little over 6 weeks on the lower, so I'm definitely used to these particular ones. (waiting for refinements)

I had a lisp off and on with different trays. On one tray I also had a problem with spitting. Guess it just depends on where your teeth are at the moment.

I had a lisp for about one or two weeks. In my opinion, talk as much as possible to get used to the trays being there.

I am a business owner and I feel like a 4 yr old kid trying to talk to clients with my new tray. I work real hard to say the 'S' without sounding like i have an iq of 10

I'm midway through Tray 5 and I still lisp. I don't think it'll ever go away.
