I did - mine were removed, and I had to wear the trays for the 7 weeks waiting, and they kept slipping down, which was annoying as you can really feel the difference the attachments make keeping the aligners in place.

I got one attachment with the refinements

    Good luck!

They may or may not be removed depending on whether your provider feels they are still required for the next phase of treatment. As you can imagine, there's not much of a point to remove an attachment, only to have to replace it when the new aligners arrive .

Mine weren't removed; I don't know if I'm getting more or not. I won't find out until I go back on the, uh, 21st I think.

Mine were removed for refinement molds and the trays are considerably looser, but not falling off. Should be getting the new trays next Thursday.

No removal and the addition of two attatchments

When my refinement trays were ordered, not only did I NOT have to take new impressions, but my attachments were not removed. When the refinements came in (5 upper trays, 0 lower), I had to have two additional attachments placed on the upper teeth. I could definitely tell a difference as far as tightness was concerned with my refinements, but that gave me a sense of security that my teeth would be perfect once finished. I continued to wear the old bottom aligner with the same attachments during the additional 4 months of refinement. I wouldn't have changed a thing. I suppose the technology is such that with the computer imaging they can mold a set of refinement aligners based on the initial projected images from first beginning treatment. I realize each case is different, but my refinements were effortless.
