After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
My attachments came off several times too that first set of trays too and my dentist said it's completely normal. I had my first set of trays for like 6 or 7 weeks before I could work it all out. Eventually, you'll find a way to get them out easier. I always prefer to use the tip of my nail on the back tip of the tray (even though they don't recommend it because they're afraid you'll scratch your gums, which I never do). When you have a lot of attachments (I have 11) it makes it a little tricky, but trust me, you will get used to it!
