    anyone here in retainers?

    Hello everyone,

A couple of days before vacation I picked up my retainers :-), its been a couple of weeks now and I have noticed that the retainers on a couple of my teeth come down lower than my actual tooth. Does yours as well?
The girl had to do impressions three different times and ended up sending two moulds of the uppers and let Align Tech figure it out.
I have noticed on one tooth I have been having movement and it is very sensitive when first taking out the retainer.
    thanks guys!

I'm not in retainers, but on my aligners, the spot where the aligner comes down lower than the tooth is where the tooth hasn't moved to keep up with the aligners.

i'd contact the ortho; you shouldn't be having movement in retainers, I wouldn't think.

thanks for the reply Brenda. I spent some time after dinner to compare pics that I had taken when I got my attachments off and the two teeth opposite sides of front two teeth (incisors?) one is being pushed in and the other pushed out. I called tonight and asked if refinements can be done after retainers, the girl said yes but i am afraid that i'll be charged.

I can't recall, did you have refinements already? I would think that if you have NOT had them, you should be able to get them, but you'll need to talk to them, of course.

no I never did the refinements, I was happy with the result. It's the retainers that are moving my teeth. I tried the last aligners on and those were tight on those two teeth so the retainers are different. I guess a Premier provider is only as good as his staff.
