I've seen a lot about refinements on here but its nothing my ortho has mentioned to me (although I have only just started my treatment). If these are required is it included in the original price or is this extra? Is it mainly US people talking about refinements or is this done in the UK too? ( I assume as it is the same system it is but thought I'd ask!)
Thanks
ALso out of interest about how far into treatment did you start noticing a difference?

Where I work in Australia, refinements are included in the 'full' invisalign package. Our clients are made aware of this option at the beginning, due to the clinchecks being computerised and therefore not able to allow for the individualised movement of everyone's teeth.
If a clients teeth start to move away from the planned progress, treatment will be stopped and new moulds taken and the next phase of treatment can then begin. This is one of the reasons it's recommended you seek treatment from an orthodontist, as they've completed years more training about how teeth move etc.
Good luck with your progress!![]()
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
I'm in the uk surprise surprise....I had 2 attempts at refinements included in my price (no limit on number of trays in each refinement stage).
I needed one lot of refinements.
I noticed a difference after the first few aligners.
