    Post-Invisalign -- opinions?

So I just had my attachments taken off (6 months of regular wear, 3 months of refinements). While my teeth aren't totally perfect (one bottom tooth juts just a fraction of a millimeter out) they look pretty good overall.

I'm curious what people's opinions are and, moreover, whether I should ask for my work on that bottom tooth. My doctor said it's going to be very difficult for Invisalign to correct that one more because of the way the root is. I don't want to be anal, but I did just spend $6000.

Fortunately, it seems the overall smile looks natural. Let me know what you think.

Your teeth look amazing in your smile crs ... you must be so proud of your smile!

The central incisor on your lower arch is a little out of alignment, and maybe you need to discuss with your ortho what your options are to have it corrected. If invisalign would have problems correcting this tooth due to the way the roots are, you need to consider if you're prepared to go with braces to have this sorted.

Talk to your ortho again and hopefully that will help!

    Keep smiling ... it's outstanding!

Looking great, have you got any 'before' pics?

It wouldn't hurt to find out what the options are to move that tooth then you can decide if you are bothered enough by it to go ahead with more treatment.

I don't think anyone is ever 100% satisfied, but it would be good if you could get to 99%!

Though it is difficult to tell from the occlusal photo, it appears that the root of the tooth in question needs to move towards the buccal (come forward). This is a torquing movement and relatively difficult with Invisalign. Speak to your orthodontist to talk about this if you'd like to improve it. Otherwise, looking good!

, I'm keen to see some before photos - it's alway interesting to see how far people have come with their Invisalign.

They look fantastic and I'm guessing that the bottom tooth wont be visible to most people.

Like Havingitdone mentions, its about whether you want to spend more time/money on 'perfection' that matters. I didnt, I have a bottom tooth which wasnt quite aligned after my treatment and I have left it as it is. Im happy as they are, overall, a million % better than when I started!!

Well done though, great pic! Keep us posted on what you decide to do.

those are some good looking teeth. I would wear your retainers and forget about that very small detail.

I think they look wonderful. Don't feel like you are "settling" either. As Kazza points out, the result is always so much better from where you started and Invisalign can only do so much. In the beginning of my journey I thought, if they're just 95% better I'd be soooo happy. We tend to get obsessed with things, looking at our teeth constantly and actually in the end wanting more than 100%. As my dentist pointed out that a person would have to be right on top of you looking, "what would you say to that" he says to me. I said i'd tell them GET OUT OF MY PERSONAL SPACE!!! lol. So there you have it... hope that helps :-)
