    Much easier now

I started tray #4 last night and I was mentally preparing myself for the pain again, but to my great surprise I had no trouble at all. The new trays are still tight and the teeth are a bit sore when removing them to eat, but I did not need any tylenol this time and surprisingly it was not all too difficult to put them in despite the 11 attachment that I got.

I can already tell some slight differences. Most of the gaps in the front that were created by IPR have closed by now and eventhough I have attachments on my incisors, they have moved 'in' a bit already, so I no longer look like a vampire. I can tell that my bite has changed a bit and the arch seems that have widened a little bit. It is easier to floss the bottom teeth now. Some people at the office have commented that they think my teeth look just a bit straighter now. I have one front tooth that really needs to be pushed back though and this may take quite a while. I have 13 UL and21 LL trays, but I wouldn't be surprised if I need refinements. There are two teeth who probably need to be rotated and my dentist said that if needed, I may even need to put on the metal braces for a little while. Has this happened to anyone?

All being said, I'm pretty happy so far with invisalign and I have definitely gotten used to them. I also think they should market invisalign as a weight loss product. I have lost about 9 pounds now and I'm only on tray 4!!!!! Why do WW or Jenny Craig when you can have Invisalign???

Glad its going well! I've been told I might need metal braces to make my teeth perfect when my invisalign finished, but at this point I'm happy with nearly perfect, so will see how I feel nearer that time!
Well done on the 9 pounds! They do make great dieting tools!!!

Not everyone looses weight, I compensated my all day grazing for huge meals and actually put weight on.......and more when the treatment was finished - back to grazing all day AND big meals........I've had to go back to WW to get it under control......and it's not coming off as quicky as it went on unfortunately. I do love my straight teeth though.
