Hi, I am new to the forum. I got my 2nd Invisalign tray on Friday.
I wanted to join a community where i could ask questions and learn from others undertaking this process, so here i am!
I am completing my Invisalign process in London, so it is good to see other living in London on the forum.
I have a pretty crooked upper and lower teeth. (well my incisors and canines mainly). I did not have braces when i was younger, so this is all very new to me.
I would attach some pictures but i am struggling to take pictures using my canon camera, (the pictures come out unclear.) Any advice on this is very welcome??
The first tray i received were pretty painless. I had no problems taking them on and off.
I received 3 attachments ahead of my 2nd tray. This has resulted in the tray being much tighter (which is great), but more difficult to take on and off 9not so great)
I am scheduled to have 19 upper and 19 lower trays, so here is to the journey ahead!!
Welcome!
Feel free to ask as many questions as you'd like. There are so many kind and supportive people here!
Glad to hear you are off to a good start... Three attachments - not so bad! How nice that your upper number matches your lower number. You'll always have fresh trays! I am a bit jealous...
I haven't posted any photos either because all of mine turn out to be too blurry and utterly unattractive. I think there is an art to taking close-ups of one's mouth... Sorry can't help you on that front!
Keep us posted!
Hi and welcome to this forum obriend!
To take photos of your mouth, make sure you have your camera's macro setting on, so that the camera can focus up close. The macro setting is usually represented by an icon of a flower.
I find the best place to take photos is in my bathroom, so I can see what I'm taking a photo of, due to being able to see the view finder on my digital camera in my bathroom mirror.
Hold the camera firmly ... press half way down so the camera will focus, then complete taking the photo. Take a few of each angle, in case some are blurry. You may also have to play with your flash, as that can affect clarity.
Good luck!![]()
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
Hi...welcome!
Yes Sunny is correct - I take all photos of my teeth with the macro setting and it works perfectly...there is almost TOO much detail haha.
Look forward to seeing your pics!

macro setting is used when taking close up photos.
So, yes, try this setting![]()
You know you're on macro if there's the flower symbol on display.
Yep, macro setting rocks, but it is quite scary in the detail as rosiee says. Enough to make me more than a little paranoid at times!

hahaha yes, combined with the right lighting/flash, it makes it super scary.
