    Unhappy Tooth sensitivity after attachments

    Hi guys!

I'm new here. I'm on my second tray of invisalign (1st day of attachments) and I have some concerns I wanted to share with you.

I went to get my attachments this morning. I have a tooth (a premolar) whose root is a little exposed (i had a little infection when I was little and I scrached my gum, cause it itched like crazy).

Well, the thing is that the dentist put some liquid sour stuff on my teeth (some kind of glue?) before puting on the attachments that made my teeth REALLY sensitive.

She told me that it was because the stuff she'd put on my teeth was meant to open the pores of the enamel but that the sensitivity would go away once she would be done.

It did... In all of my teeth except for the premolar with the exposed root. It is sooo sensitive that only touching it with my fingertip makes it hurt like crazy... :-(

That, together with the fact that I had the hardest time of my life trying to get my trays off this afternoon is making me a little worried and no so happy with my invisalign.

Has anyone ever had the same problem? Do you think it will go away??

I have one tooth with a slightly exposed root that has an attachment on it. At first I had a really hard time getting the tray off because if I touch that tooth it really hurts. I start to remove the tray on the opposite side and have to pull it off. It gets easier. At first I thought I would never get it off.

    Thanks Christina:

I took them off for the first time this morning at it was slightly easier... I hope it does get better with time cause I'm getting very frustrated. Specially when I was told this was supposed to be comfortable and painless...

I also just bought some toothpaste for teeth sensitivity, I'll try that out with my sensitive tooth, see if that works... Cause just touching it results in 1 hour of pain afterwards. And its really anoying...
