Just got refinements!

Hi everyone!

Just got my refinements today, and have a few questions...

I only need 3 for the top with no IPR or attachments which is great!!!

Firstly the refinement trays cover all my back teeth which the others didn't (they were sort of cut off half way across the last tooth) and they are cut extremently close to the gum line which the others weren't. I have filed down the rough edges which has helped but I still woke up this morning with a lot of blood in my mouth from where they have rubbed. Has this happened to anyone else? Also because they go so far back every time I put them on my cheek gets caught in them which hurts quite a lot!

Have Invisalign changed the material? These aligners seem thinner than my original set!

I'm not in refinements yet, but my 9th tray for some reason is doing that thing where it pinches my cheek flesh when I put the aligner in. I can't figure it out.

I've had a few like that and it's painful as heck, I know. I'm super careful now cuz I think once you do it, it leaves a ridge on your cheek that makes it even harder not to pinch it.

I noticed the refinement trays were thinner too..

Hope your mouth gets used to them soon and the pain/bleeding stops

Thanks everyone! I think my mouth is slowly adjusting to them! Its funny when I put the first refinement tray on it felt really loose but over the last 24 hours or so its definitely been moving my teeth!!
