Any other diabetics here? Looking for suggestions for managing diet...

I'm insulin dependent and have a pretty strict diet/eating schedule, including snacks. With three meals + 1-2 snacks per day, I feel like I have my trays out for too long! Anyone else dealing with this?

i'm not diabetic, but i'm hugrypretty often and used to lots of small meals instead of 3 big ones.
i just carry my toothbrush & tooth paste with me and i just brush my teeth right after i finished ther snack and then put back the tray.
the point is - don't make it "social eating" - right after you eat, brush and put it again. you will be surprised to see how quickly you eat...although when it is a new tray i try to avoid snacking because it is painful to remove it.

Not diabetic, but I have a very fast metabolism so I'm hungry all day long. I was getting to be too skinny wearing the Invisalign for 22 hours a day. I started drinking protein shakes a couple of times a day between meals and it's helped out a lot. I can get them down quick and there's no flossing required after drinking one; just a quick brush or a good rinse with water if I can't brush.

Sorry not diabetic as well but another suggestion if you find that you can't stick with the "normal" Invisalign schedule is to wear your trays longer than two weeks. Reading this board, 22 hours/day is the optimal amount of time in a two week period. If you need to decrease the hours worn, just extend the amount of days you wear a tray.

Maybe you should buy a little stopwatch or utilize your cell phones timer to clock how much time you are actually spending eating. This practice should at least give you an idea of how much time you are not having the trays in, hopefully it's no more than 2 hours.
    Starting refinements in 2 weeks.
