Exclamation Do my invisaligns fit?... help!

I decided to get dental work done while I'm here in canada. I got my teeth impressions/moulds taken but then had fillings done on basically all of my top front teeth. The shape of my teeth changed and while my dentist says that the invisaligners fit as he did shaping after the fillings, I'm not too sure. Unlike the bottom ones, the plastic doesn't completely cover my top teeth... there's maybe a couple of milimeters gap between my gum and the plastic. There is also a couple of millimeters plastic at the bottom which makes it more obvious that I'm wearing aligners on my top teeth than on my bottom. Is this normal? I've read a few people online saying that you shouldn't even get one filling done after you get the first impressions done but I've had around 10 and there is a definite change in the shape of my teeth.

I've attached photos of before and after my filling work and 2 of when my aligners are in.

I'm only in canada for a couple more days so if anyone has any quick advice it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Ouch, it looks like it's tugging your front teeth being how it doesn't fit right..Have you tried putting a cloth betwen your teeth and biting down on each tooth, starting from the back to the front? Me personally, I'd try that...periodically every 15 to 20 minutes until it settles in..I'd just hate to wait for the appt for impressions to be made, then start all over again.

You're right on one thing, all dental work should have been done prior to invisalign. I'm suprised the ortho didn't request a recent xray, cleaning, and cavity check records from you. He or she would of put it off until that was done.
    Starting refinements in 2 weeks.

Sorry to hear whats happened..... As far as I know any dental work should be completed before invisalign treatment as fillings and other work will change the shape of the teeth to some extent, so aligners won't fit. I would have thought that going back to the ortho or dentist and considering re-starting the impressions and x-rays etc might be the best option, but it would take time for it to be re-done and you say you're leaving in a few days. You also may be liable to pay for the new set, but I don't know about that- others would be able to advise better. How were you planning on completing your invisalign treatment once you leave Canada? Good luck, I hope it works out.
