I discovered a crack in my upper tray yesterday, Day 6 of my first tray! The crack is about 0.2-0.3cm. Should I be concerned? The tray is still snug though.
Any advices are appreciated. Thanks!![]()

After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
Your best course of action will depend on the type of movement required and the location of the crack. As advised above, call your orthodontist to discuss what you should do next.

thank you for your replies.
my ortho said the split i had on my top tray was okay this time and there was no need to get a new tray. now i'm on my second set. I had tray #2 for one week and now it seems like a crack is starting to develop at the same location. maybe my teeth are just too crooked!

Might the crack have something to do with the way in which you are removing the tray? I know the aligners are sturdy little things - and I never had trouble with one cracking - but if I didn't remove it a certain way, I felt as if I was putting extra pressure on it; in other words, I was afraid if I kept pulling, the aligner might break! Just a thought...
Good luck!
I usually loosen up the right back side first and then the left back side before pulling it off. I'll try loosening up the left side first with my next tray and see what happens. The split occurs on top of a "problem tooth", which is a tooth we're trying to push into place eventually. That may have something to do with the tray cracking ... just guessing...![]()
