Just got invisalign :) Question :)

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share my story

I'm 25 and just got invisalign. My problems were the front-bottom of my teeth were extremely crowded, and the front-top was just nasty, plain old nasty. (lol)

Just got them put in yesterday, and they don't actually hurt at all to be honest. At first (first 5 hours) they felt tight, but as of right now (24 hours later) they feel normal, just feels like there's plastic over them but its fine because the plastic is so soft and smooth.

The one thing i'll be missing most is eating whenever I want, it isn't easy to take off for me (yet). I also have 6-8 attachments so it makes it that much harder. I love snacking while watching tv, no more of that unless I'm feeling non-lazy

question though, it says i have 20 trays and im on 1 of 20.. and we're switching every 2 weeks... so does that mean i only need invisalign for 10 months?

Initially yes. However, you might need refinements but your dentist should have discussed this with you? Anyway, if your teeth aren't perfect at the end of your 20, you can have another impression done and more trays made to get them straighter. You'll have to ask if that's included in the price have paid.

It'll get easier to get the trays out, you'll master it. But remember to keep them in 22 hours a day I've had mine almost 10 weeks now and it's flown by.
