Damon VS Invisalign + Price + Braces at work + Insurance

    Hey guys!

Could you please give me a bit of insight...

    - Damon VS Invisalign - PROS + CONS?

    - He quoted me ~7000 for Damon and ~8000 for Invisalign - opinion?

    - The ortho I went to see today told me that he would recommend against me having invisalign. Mainly because I might need surgery to fix asymmetrical jaw and he believes Invisalign to be primitive. What does everyone think about this?

    - I can get clear fronts for the Damon Braces but do you think I would be embarassed wearing them? I work in retail so talking to people a lot.

    - Lastly, should I look into private health insurance?

    Thank-you guys, I know it's a lot of questions!

The best thing you could do is have a few more consults and find out what other ortho's recommend.

You can't really compare two such different treatments, but I doubt you'd find many people who agree with the idea that invisalign is primative ... or that having braces would in any way be embarassing for an adult working in retail.

I don't know how medical insurance works in your country, but where I live, many companies do not cover orthodontic treatment for adults and those that do, require you to have cover for 12+ months before claiming for a new treatment.

    Good luck with your research!
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
