Are you in the States? Most states require dental records be kept for 7 years. So what does this mean, "...they pretty much disposed my record..."? You can look it up online to find out dental record retention requirements.
I finished the invisalign treatment about 2-3 years ago. They first said I'd receive a clear retainer which is thicker than invisalign aligner but when I was done they said the last tray would be my retainer. They also mentioned I can get a replacement for $200 if I ever lost it.
So I've been wearing the last aligner since and recently I felt its getting loose so I called the doctors office if they could send me a replacement. They said since I didn't respond to their notice mail( I didn't even know they'd send me a notice to come back!!), they pretty much disposed my record and won't be able to help me in any way. What should I do?? I really don't want to spend another $$$ on this:-(
Please help...

I think you must practice your legal rights.
You can consult a lawyer about this matter and expect it can be fix.
Also you can go to association of the dentist in your town or state, and have a consultation and ask how to move forward.
I hope this thing will have a positive result. Goodluck
Unless you have a contract that states something different to this, I expect this would be the norm. Paying for moulds and new aligners is loadds cheaper than having to go through another round of treatment.
Good luck with keeping your teeth retained for life!
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
That doesn't sound right. I would call them back and complain and also call Invisalign and complain. If you have a contract that includes retention they shouldn't treat you like this. However, you don't actually need them. Any dentist can make you a new essix retainer quickly and easily.
